Traffic Disruptions in Istanbul Due to '15 July Democracy and Martyrs Commemoration Run'

Istanbul authorities have announced temporary road closures in the city as part of the '15 July Democracy and Martyrs Commemoration Run.' Starting from 3 AM, access to the Bosphorus Bridge and certain routes in Üsküdar and Beşiktaş has been restricted to facilitate the event. These measures aim to ensure the safety of participants and spectators attending the commemorative run. As a result of the ongoing event, passenger services at six metrobüs stations have been suspended. Commuters are advised to plan alternative routes during this period. According to officials, all affected roads are expected to reopen to traffic by 3 PM, allowing normal transit to resume. This annual event is held to honor the victims of the July 15, 2016 coup attempt in Turkey, reflecting on the nation's commitment to democracy and freedom.
