Over 100,000 Inspections of Food Enterprises in August Result in 186.5 Million Lira Fines

In a recent announcement, Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumaklı, revealed that a comprehensive inspection campaign was carried out in August, targeting food enterprises across the nation. A total of 100,128 inspections were conducted to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the food sector. During these inspections, various violations were identified within the inspected establishments, which resulted in substantial financial penalties. The total fines levied against non-compliant businesses reached an alarming 186.5 million lira, reflecting the government's stringent stance on food safety and quality. Minister Yumaklı emphasized the importance of adhering to food safety regulations to protect public health and ensure consumer confidence in food products.
