Ahmet Tuna, the president of the Reyhanlı Martyrs Association, shared his sorrow and relief following the arrests of individuals connected to the bombing that took his 17-year-old son, Oğulcan Tuna. "My son was just 17... he lost his life after the second explosion, which came shortly after he left his tutoring center. The first blast had already claimed eight lives, but the second was our greatest loss. The capture and punishment of the perpetrators has brought us some solace, yet our pain remains fresh and our anger is still palpable," Tuna stated. Fatma Tuna, Oğulcan's mother, reflected on her heartbreak, revealing that her son was on his way to buy a Mother’s Day gift at the time of the tragic incident. "Our sorrow is as sharp as it was on that first day. We demand the harshest penalties for those responsible. I experienced the agony of losing my child on Mother’s Day, and I wish for Mihraç Ural to receive the justice he deserves," she emphasized. The Tuna family has been pursuing justice for 13 years since the attack, and they are hopeful that the recent developments will lead to a sense of closure. The community's support and the apprehension of suspects have provided a measure of comfort, but the emotional scars of their loss remain significant. The couple's ongoing fight for justice highlights the lasting impact of violence on families and the importance of accountability in the face of such tragedies.
