Turkey is currently facing multiple wildfires across its regions, with firefighters actively combating the blazes in Aydın and Balıkesir. Meanwhile, the fires in Muğla, Antalya, and Mersin have been brought under control, as confirmed by Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı. The minister announced that of the 169 wildfires recorded, 163 have been completely contained. The ongoing wildfires have been exacerbated by strong winds and high temperatures in the western parts of the country, prompting both aerial and ground responses to combat the flames. Efforts remain intense as teams work tirelessly to extinguish the remaining fires. Yumaklı revealed that the wildfire in Seydikemer district of Muğla has been fully contained, and significant progress has been made in controlling fires in Fethiye, Alanya in Antalya, and the Gülnar-Aydıncık region in Mersin. However, active firefighting operations are still underway in Çine district of Aydın and Gömeç district of Balıkesir. The minister emphasized that these efforts will persist until every last flame is extinguished. "Since yesterday, we have intervened in 169 fires, including 110 outside forest areas, with 163 of them fully under control," Yumaklı stated, highlighting the scale of the ongoing emergency response.
